Summary Results, Survey 2003
In a nutshell, parents and faculty/staff members are pleased with their overall experience at BCCS, and feel that it is a good choice for the families of our area. Primary areas (most-mentioned) that need improvement included:
§ Communication schoolwide.
§ Increasing the focus on character development.
§ Increasing the focus on good discipline.
§ Increasing academic enrichment and remediation for students of all learning abilities.
§ Increasing safety and usefulness of the BCCS facilities.
§ Implementing more formalized sports activities.
7th-9th grade students at BCCS expressed their belief that the teachers at BCCS really care about their students. They said the amount of homework given is “about right,” and that they, too, would like to see more sports opportunities and better sports facilities. They also suggested a number of new classes they would like to see offered at BCCS.
Survey results were shared with the BCCS Board of Directors and with Ms.Pinson. Thank you to everyone who so thoughtfully completed a survey. For more detailed results, see below.
